Truly, if at the end when the mortal body pledges to its last moment on earth, if the soul does go beyond, it will be at the feet of this man that I first rest to learn the initial lessons of my new existence. Since I was so very young Ghandi has been my hero.

I don’t know if I find him heroic because of his commitment and endless pursuit to better man through his humble actions and words of peaceful protest, cognitive rights of human freedoms, beliefs of self-worth and retrospectively others worth’s or because of his courage to face what appeared to be insurmountable odds to achieve those things and in so doing created an entirely new concept of social advancement. Even in the most defeating of moments to have the strength to learn by his mistakes and carry-on in his pursuits with determination and patience while never loosing sight of his goals, has always inspired me.

I’ve often wondered if Ghandi could have seen the outcome of his actions to free those he loved most of the yolk of colonialism would end in their ultimate civil violence and the resulting separation along lines of religious descent, if he would have had the untiring strength to have pursued those goals with his own existence. He taught me that for all of mans’ greatness, insight and persistence that there is no one man who can truly see the outcome of his pursuits until they are upon him.

Through his example I learned that "Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes" but to never end the pursuit of achieving goals.

The greatest lesson that he taught me is that in any of our pursuits we are only human and in-turn that is the enduring strength that we administer and share in common goals.

In this strike action to date we have learned so much at such great costs. The pursuit has been difficult on each and every one of us in our own respects. There only remains the need to know what path is right to pursuit in our upcoming decisions. There is no one that can make those decisions for us but ourselves; there are only those that can aid us in our mindsets, should we seek or welcome direction.
When I seek direction I embrace those that I hold dearest and closest to my heart. In them I search for and find and feel the answers that are always right to take in any situation. It is because of them and for them that I question and determine the right actions to take; for their benefits and in turn for my own and others.

It is well known that no one ever wins a strike action. No one will win either way in this one. The one thing that everyone shares in is their loss and this can only truly be gauged or measured by how much or little we have learned as a result.

It is a strange symbiotic relationship we share between ourselves and our wants. An intangible goal since the beginning of mankind that has never and can never be realized to a fulfillment. As many times as I have sat and tried to define ‘want’ to a rational ideology I have always been left wanting in its definition. I oft times feel we all spend too much of our given time in pursuit of fulfilling an unreachable goal that we from time to time perhaps sacrifice our real needs in its pursuit.

There are those of us who perhaps fear what this new company may mean to our futures. I have never feared new things; I look at them as new challenges and welcome the opportunities. I think this guiding attitude came from a lesson I learned when a superintendant of education made a speech for a graduating class at our school when I was young. Basically the message was that; the only permanence arranged within our lives is constant change. It will be our abilities to adapt to these changes that will define our successes and our failures

That leaves only one definition to determine what correct actions should be taken. That is the definition of success on a personal level. As previously mentioned; when my mortal body pledges to its last moment it will not be my decision that I take or do not take in accepting or rejecting this contract that will determine my success. On a scale of importance I’m certain it will not even enter my mind.

It will be by those I love who are with me in my heart and the memories I have left them that I will determine my accomplishments, my worth and my success of having been a person.

It is only the effect on those same loved ones that will allow me to determine ‘yes’ or ‘no’ in my possible upcoming decisions.

The opportunity to define our own futures has certainly been a long time and at great cost in coming. To each of you and your decisions that may be necessary in the near future I hope for your happiness and for your success in achieving your wants.

IF it is preaching. It is for 24/7. You live it, walk it and speak it. The drunls do so. The smokers do so! The profaners do so. Why can a Christian not do so?? That is not to say keyden is a Christian. His lfestyle will tell! The only people who fear preaching, be it politics, religion or anything else we hold convictions of, are the unlearned! Get educated. Discess even things you have no knowledge of. Learn while you can. We only pass this way once!
